Sheffield Cross Links is a cross-denominational Christian resource and communication network, working to encourage and support the church in Sheffield and her regions in the call to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ both within the city and beyond.

Sheffield Cross Links has been put into place to enable and facilitate the sharing of information, vision and initiative, and the connecting of individuals and organisations across the city of Sheffield and her post coded areas. We gather and release information, resources and support, including prayer support, for the wider body of Christ to encourage maturity among the Christian community.

Promoting a Working Unity

To encourage and develop working Christian links and partnerships between churches, organisations and individuals in the city, by sharing of information, gifts, insights and other resources whenever and wherever possible, to the benefit of the city.

Promoting  Prayer and Citywide Initiatives

To create strong links between churches and individuals who want to work together, primarily but not exclusively in the area of prayer, by gathering and communicating information from all spheres of the city in order to inform and particularly to encourage prayer, and relationships.
To offer support and encouragement to new or smaller local prayer and other initiatives across the city.
Occasionally to mobilise, initiate and promote joint actions primarily, but not exclusively for prayer, and for unity and transformation within Sheffield through gatherings, conferences and training events.
To encourage links with like-minded organisations in other cities in the UK and worldwide

Promoting  Specific Christian initiatives

To encourage existing Sheffield networks and partnerships, and to work along side new initiatives, supporting key people by using local, national and worldwide networks as appropriate.

We believe that:

• the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and is the supreme authority
  in all matters of faith and conduct
• God exists as three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit
• everyone has sinned (fallen short of God’s standard) and is subject
  to God’s judgement and punishment
• God loves us so much that his Son, Jesus, came to earth to die on
  the cross, taking our punishment on himself
• Jesus died, was buried, and was then raised back to life
• God offers forgiveness and the promise of eternal life for all who
  turn away from their sin and turn to God
• God desires a personal relationship with us. This is possible because
   of  the death and ressurection of Jesus and the ongoing work of
  the Holy Spirit .
• Jesus Christ will personally return to establish his kingdom on Earth
