The Launch of
THE SHEFFIELD PRAYER CENTRE
from 7pm Friday 18th to Sunday 20th September
Sheffield Prayer Centre is a 24-7 prayer style “boiler room” or “house of prayer” centred around the values of Prayer for our city, prayer in unity and prayer for mission.
It is a response to our call by God to push further into praying and crying out for our city, in the form of a constant, sacrificial and focussed initiative. We know that God has got more for our city, that He longs to fill the church with more passion to care for and reach everyone in it, and we believe that part of His strategy is a central and united prayer hub. It is in the place of prayer that hearts are broken, dreams are inspired, and mission birthed and sourced.
Sheffield Prayer Centre is based at High Court Chambers (above Pizza Hut) in the city centre. It will be accessible 1 weekend per month until we are in a position to extend the oipenings. The launch will start with a time of worship and an opportunity to hear a bit more about Sheffield Prayer Centre There will be an hour of led worship at 7pm on the Saturday but anyone can come at any time and pray for our city.
Anyone interested in helping at the Prayer Centre, or anyone who would like to be more involved, please get in touch with either Josh or Peter.

PLAYERS Support Group
An open letter from the Sheffield Chaplain for Sport
As I’ve been going round getting involved in different sports/fitness communities I have become aware of the potential such communities offer Christians to build relationships and witness to their faith. Also I am aware that their are members of churches involved in sport/fitness who already view their involvement as part of their Christian witness who might benefit from getting to know others in a similar environment.
Further to this I believe the experience I’ve been gaining through sports chaplaincy may be of some help and encouragement to others.
It is for these reasons I’m beginning to try and promote PLAYERS as a support group.
If you would like to discuss the PLAYERS idea with me please do give me a call.
