 Volunteering opportunities with hospital chaplaincies in Sheffield

We are looking for more volunteers to help with our Sunday services in hospitals across Sheffield, both in mental health and at the teaching hospitals, and would be grateful if clergy could inform their church congregations. Please contact Sheila Kennedy (0114 271 8022

The Mental Health Chaplaincy has services at the Michael Carlisle Centre in Nether Edge 2.45 – 4.45, and at the Longley Centre, next door to the Northern General 5.30 – 7pm. Church Musician

Volunteers and donations needed

Everybody at St Vincent’s Furniture Store is delighted with the news
that the store is getting it’s own larger premises in 2010, moving from
it’s current address at the Basement of St Wilfrid’s Centre, to further
along at 280 Queens Road. We are now the only service provider in
Sheffield which gives away donated furniture and household goods to
‘homeless’ people. We are looking for more volunteers to join us in our
new premises. We need people to answer the telephones, load data into
our computers, load and deliver furniture and help promote the ‘Store’.

 NEEDED- Someone or maybe a couple who will like to explore going to Nigeria as a missionary to work with a church there.

We are looking for:

1. School administrator – to lead a primary and secondary school started by one of the churches  in Nigeria. The mandate will be to raise the school to an international standard. The person must be a christian with a heart/passion for missions.
and must be excited about working with children in the third world
one year mission experience is possible.
2. Office manager – to help start and manage an international office for world evangelization
3. Primary and secondary teachers – to teach English or sciences. May want to commit to six months only in the first instance.
